CPBigwood gets nod on former Sutton council house scheme

PROPERTY consultancy CPBigwood has won the contract to manage the new apartments currently being marketed at Royal Sutton Place, Sutton Coldfield’s former council house.

The complex is being developed by Gethar Ventures.

A total of 18 units feature in the first phase, with an associated new build scheme to follow.

Robert Simonds, partner in the residential service charge department at Birmingham-based CPBigwood, said: “This is a stunning, quality project and we are thrilled to be part of it.

“Our role includes financial service charge management and the provision of communal area services to the building and the landscaped amenity areas. It is an iconic building and deserves a new future. These are very desirable apartments in a great location.”

Knight Frank and Quantrills are marketing the apartments which are being promoted as Sutton Coldfield’s “most exclusive and central residences, in a sumptuously restored listed building in the heart of town”.

Built in 1865, it is a local landmark and was put up for sale by Birmingham City Council in 2012.

The one, two and three bedroom residences have an average floor space of 1,600 sq ft. Typically, prices are £395,000 for a two bedroom apartment and £495,000 for a three bed.

CPBigwood currently manages around 20,000 units in developments across the country.
