Change in UK Director at National Grid

MIDLAND utility National Grid has appointed John Pettigrew as its sole UK Executive Director following the decision by Nick Winser to step down from the board.

The company said Pettigrew’s appointment was supported by a new UK leadership structure which would help provide a single focus in its bid to manage a challenging UK operational agenda.  The changes in executive responsibilities will take effect from October 1 2014.

Pettigrew joined the board as Executive Director on April 1, 2014. He previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer of UK Operations since July 2012, when he became a member of the Executive Committee.
