GVA Retail team appointed to market units at Ricoh Arena

THE Retail team at GVA has been appointed as agent to market two retail and leisure sites at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The arena, former home of Coventry City FC, attracts more than 1.2 million visitors to some 642 events every year. The ground floor units – which total 11,688 sq ft – are located at either end of the atrium, adjacent to the 215,278 sq ft Jaguar Exhibition Hall.

Gary Bucknall, Associate, GVA, said: “This is a significant appointment for GVA, particularly given the Ricoh Arena’s profile as an international, multi-purpose venue for business, entertainment and sport. Both of these units would be perfectly suited for conversion to retail or leisure use, adding a further dimension to the existing amenity offering on the site and at the nearby shopping park.”

Liz Cooper, Marketing Director at Ricoh Arena, said: “Thanks to its close proximity to the M42 and the M6, the Ricoh Arena has over 15.6 million cars pass by each year, making it a great attraction for passers-by.

“GVA’s in-depth understanding of the needs and requirements of regional occupiers coupled with their knowledge of the wider national markets made them our first choice to find occupiers for the available space.”

Existing occupiers at the Ricoh Arena include Singers Bar & Bistro, Costa Coffee, De Vere Hotels and G Casino.
