DCS sees African orders soar following ebola outbreak

STRATFORD-upon-Avon-based toiletries manufacturer DCS Group has seen orders of hand sanitiser rise rapidly due to the ebola outbreak.

DCS owns the Enliven brand and also makes other hand sanitiser brands.

Denys Shortt OBE – CEO of DCS said: “Phone enquiries have been coming in from Africa for urgent supplies of Enliven hand sanitiser.

“We are helping as much as we can and we are currently planning to urgently produce over 500,000 bottles for a customer in Nigeria.

“Our web orders have also gone crazy. Members of the public are ordering online.

“We are not surprised to see this. When swine flu was around we saw huge spikes in demand for hand sanitiser. Ebola seems to be causing the same scenario.

“We will do everything possible to make sure all our customers have stocks. We are sourcing plastic bottles from anywhere to get them immediately filled and shipped to West Africa.

“We are pulling out all the stops and will work night shifts to fulfil customer needs.”

DCS makes and sells its own products and also distributes those of third parties.
