Protection recruitment strengthens Seymours

Denise Gorman, SeymoursCOVENTRY and Leamington legal firm, Seymours has recruited Denise Gorman, an expert in helping vulnerable people who are unable to make decisions for themselves about their property, finances and health and welfare.

Ms Gorman brings a wealth of Court of Protection work to her new role, which the firm said would strengthen its developing private client department.

After 15 years with Coventry’s Newsome Vaughan, and the practice’s merger with a larger firm, Ms Gorman decided she wanted to move to a person-focused, close-knit yet forward thinking team.

“It’s very important to me to help people who become incapacitated and are vulnerable. This is a very sensitive area and many of the people coming for legal advice in these circumstances are often nervous and frightened. It’s important that they use a friendly practice to help them feel at ease in a difficult situation,” she said.

She will be working with the head of the private client department, Gina Dixon, at the firm’s offices in Queen’s Road, Coventry and Hamilton Terrace, Leamington.
