Aerocom Metals eyes overseas expansion following funding deal

COVENTRY-based manufacturer Aerocom Metals is looking to expand further into South East Asia and the US following a funding package of £955,000 from Santander Corporate & Commercial.

The firm, a provider of high-strength steel tubes to a global manufacturing client base, has seen strong demand for its product range.

It has provided steel tubing to a wide range of clients, in particular in the aerospace and motor sport sectors.

While the business has representation in markets including India, Malaysia, China and Japan, as well as various European countries, the funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial will allow Aerocom to penetrate further into the South East Asian region and its fast-developing aerospace market.

And Aerocom also plans to exhibit at the PRI (performance racing industry) show in Indianapolis to develop further motorsport business in North America.

Company director Simon Littleford said: “We see international expansion as a key part of our business plan and have been impressed with the knowledge and experience provided by Santander.”

Leon Sloyan, relationship director, Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “Aerocom is an excellent example of a British business which has found a niche market in which to operate.

“They have seen great success in various international markets and we look forward to helping them expand even further and seize new business opportunities.”
