REI brings in financial nous via London move

BIRMINGHAM-based Real Estate Investors has appointed Peter London to the board as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
 
London has more than 40 years’ experience in the financial services sector and specialises in tax efficient investment planning.

He is a director or chairman of a number of Enterprise Investment Scheme and SEED Enterprise Investment Scheme companies, several of which are property related.
 
His career started in 1968 at Commercial Union Assurance and in 1971 he established his own company, Clark London, an independent financial services company. In 1986 Clark London merged with L Stanley & Partners and became Ashby London Financial Services which was subsequently acquired by EFG Private Bank.

London is currently the chairman of EFG Independent Financial Advisers, a wholly owned subsidiary of EFG Private Bank.
