Second merger in two months for Solihull accountants Jerroms

SOLIHULL-based accountancy and advisory firm Jerroms has merged with Birmingham’s Trafalgars Chartered Accountants.

Financial terms have not been disclosed.

The merger with the Kings Heath firm  follows a recent deal with Bromsgrove accountancy firm Harrison Priddey & Co, now practising as Jerroms Pridddey.

Trafalgars was formed in 2001 and provides a full range of business advisory, audit and accountancy services to businesses in Birmingham and Solihull. The firm also provides specialist tax planning advice to individuals including business owners. The Kings Heath office will practise as Jerroms Trafalgars.

The total complement of staff in the Jerroms Group is now more than 90.

John Bill and Chris Pate, the directors at Trafalgars, will continue with the firm.

Bill said: “We have many loyal clients and we have no doubt that the merger will help us to move forward in serving them.

“We look forward to working with the team at Jerroms.”

The deal is part of a planned expansion strategy for Jerroms and the firm’s managing director Mark Eden said: “A move into Birmingham is in line with our strategy of growing our business, opening doors to a very large market in central and south Birmingham, both in terms of businesses and individuals.

“Increased size will bring the benefits of further specialisation in our advisory services as well as economies of scale and the depth of expertise accessible from the merged firm will be of greater benefit to clients, enabling them to gain more value from our services.”
