Construction firm Miers sets up Birmingham base on back of finance deal

MIERS Construction Products has opened a Birmingham base, its fourth depot in the UK, after securing a deal with RBS Invoice Finance.

Its invoice discounting line has been increased from £200k – £1.25m over a five year period.

Miers, which is a provider and supplier to the housebuilding and construction industry, has experienced rapid growth since it established five years ago.

It is now a £10.5m turnover business boasting depots in St Neots, Airdrie in Scotland, Warrington and now at Heartlands Industrial Park in Birmingham. A fifth depot is planned for Bristol in 2015.

It has grown from two employees at inception to 37 full-time employees today.

Tim Nicholson, managing director at Miers Construction Products, said: “We are thrilled with the opening of our fourth depot in Birmingham and delighted we can serve the West Midlands market.

“Our original plan was to open four depots in five years and we have achieved this with greater things to follow.”
