Grant Thornton welcomes back dealmaker Dyke

ACCOUNTANCY and advisory firm Grant Thornton has appointed Joe Dyke, one of its former dealmakers, as an associate director.

Dyke returns to Grant Thornton’s Birmingham-based Midlands’ advisory team following five years at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was a director in the corporate banking team and where he also spent time in the business restructuring group.

He will be advising clients across the Midlands on M&A, fundraising and financial restructuring.

Geoff Davies, head of advisory at the firm, said: “I am delighted to welcome Joe back to Grant Thornton. He has justifiably earned a reputation in the market as a ‘rainmaker’ and for providing quality advice to his clients.

“We are experiencing a significant increase in activity across all areas of our advisory business and there will be a continuing need to invest in high quality people to grow our business.”

Dyke added: “It is fantastic to return to Grant Thornton, where there are a number of familiar faces from the past as well as some strong new additions, and it is most impressive to witness the growth across the firm’s advisory business.

“Five very enjoyable years at RBS have given me additional experiences, networks and skills to leverage for the benefit of Grant Thornton and our clients.”
