Lifestyle: Turkish Delight for Marco Pierre White’s restaurants

TWO of Marco Pierre White’s restaurants – the Steakhouse Bar and Grill in Birmingham and the New York Italian in Stratford-upon-Avon – have formed a new partnership with Turkish Airlines.

Initially launching as a festive incentive for diners at each restaurant, the agreement is part of an ongoing initiative to enable both businesses to join forces with other organisations in the region as they look to grow and be work together.

John Lambourne-Richardson, general manager of Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill in Birmingham said: “These days you have to do more than just be good at what you do in order to grow and reach out to your audience. Working together with other likeminded businesses, such as Turkish Airlines, is becoming increasingly important and it brings along the benefits of forming new and strong relationships with it.”

Turkish Airlines, whose regional offices are based in Birmingham, has this year been awarded: “Best Airline in Europe”, “Best Business Class Onboard Catering” and “Best Business Class Lounge Dining” by Skytrax in the 2014 World Airline Awards.

Turkish Airlines’ general manager in Birmingham, Selim Ozturk, added: “As a fast growing, award winning business, offering high level services to our passengers, it’s important we align ourselves with other businesses with similar standards. The Marco Pierre White restaurant brand is prestigious and expanding at a great rate, so a partnership, initially on a local basis, makes sense.”

The partnership will initially offer the opportunity for diners to win a pair of business class flights to any Turkish Airlines destination in 2015, with a view to working together on a wider scale in the future.
