Lifestyle: Eating Out – Marco Pierre White set for further expansion

A NEW Marco Pierre White Italian restaurant is set to open in Kenilworth next month.

The restaurant chain is strengthening its presence in Warwickshire following the opening of a similar eatery in Stratford upon Avon last year.

The new Marco’s New York Italian will open for the first time on Monday February 16.

Located within the Holiday Inn Kenilworth – Warwick, work is currently underway to transform the former hotel restaurant, along with the separate bar area and an external terrace, into a contemporary Marco Pierre White branded venue.

Louise Sheepy, Deputy General Manager for the Holiday Inn Kenilworth – Warwick said: “With the open date getting closer, we’re all very excited. The interior is starting to take shape, the kitchen staff are all being trained and prepared for the Marco’s menu and we’re looking forward to being able to introduce such a great culinary brand to our guests, friends and the area.”

The new restaurant will be serving lunch and dinner seven days per week and will be open to members of the public as well as hotel guests. Bookings are being taken from February 1.

The restaurant will be the celebrity chef’s third West Midlands restaurant, following in the footsteps of Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill at The Cube in central Birmingham.

The Italian-American cuisine offering is said to be inspired by one of America’s most vibrant dining scenes. Diners will be able to choose from a menu that includes traditional Italian pasta and pizza dishes, alongside a range of American style hotdogs, burgers, ribs and steaks.
