New CFO for Andrews Sykes

WOLVERHAMPTON-based air conditioning group, Andrews Sykes, has announced the appointment of Andrew Phillips as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Phillips, 51, will take responsibility for the financial affairs of the group reporting directly to the board.

The company said Phillips was a highly experienced Finance Director, having trained and qualified while working for a south Birmingham firm of chartered accountants, gaining experience across a wide range of industry sectors. After 11 years he left for a commercial role as Head of Finance, and shortly after Finance Director of international group Wanzl’s UK operations which was involved in the areas of design, distribution, service and remanufacture of retail equipment.

Phillips, together with the managing director, led the UK management team, which successfully returned an average of 22% turnover growth per annum over a 19-year period. His main responsibilities during this time were with the finance, IT, HR and operations functions.

Change of address for Carillion

WOLVERHAMPTON-based facilities management and support services group, Carillion, has changed its registered address.

With immediate effect, the company is now based at Carillion House, 84 Salop Street, Wolverhampton WV3 0SR.

NED steps down at HomeServe

WALSALL-based home emergency maintenance provider, HomeServe, has announced that Ian Chippendale is to step down as a Non-Executive Director of the business with effect from March 31, 2015.  

Chippendale, who is retiring, joined the board in 2007 and became Senior Independent Director in 2010.

Commenting, Barry Gibson, chairman, HomeServe, said: “I would like to record our appreciation to Ian for his significant support and contribution to the board over the past eight years and to wish him a long and happy retirement.”

Mark Morris will become the Senior Independent Director. Stella David will replace Chippendale as chair of the Remuneration Committee and Ben Mingay will be appointed as a member of that committee.

The company said the changes would be effective from April 1, 2015.
