Bulleys: Exciting times ahead for i54

DEVELOPMENT at i54 South Staffordshire has entered an exciting new phase with a dedicated motorway junction now open serving the site.

The junction opened just before the end of 2014 and makes the approach to i54fitting with such a high profile business park. It means that i54 has excellent accessto the national motorway network via the M6, M6 Toll and A449.

i54 is a joint partnership between Staffordshire County Council, Wolverhampton City Council and South Staffordshire Council. It is now home to Jaguar Land Rover’s Engine Manufacturing Centre UK, Moog, Eurofins and International Security Printers and provides a high quality environment for companies wishing to locate within the West Midlands.

When it is completed the site will comprise 235,000 sq m of attractively landscaped industrial, office, technology and leisure space with new footpath, cycleway routes and an upgraded canal towpath creating an outstanding working environment.

A total of 26.48 acres of land remains available for further development for B1 and B2 uses, research and development, head office use and pub/restaurant and hotel use.

I54 benefits from planning permission and from being situated within the Black Country Enterprise Zone. Businesses locating to the Zone can take advantage of a simplified planning system, business rate discount (up to £55,000 per annum for five years) and a dedicated team providing assistance with supply chain introductions anda ‘soft landing’ to the area.

There are 23,500 high technology and automotive related businesses within one hour of i54, employing 330,000 people. Automotive manufacturing and the supporting supply chain is extensively represented in the region and R&D and aerospace are also important established sectors. The environmental technology sector is also fast emerging.

The success of i54 is a direct result of the huge effort and investment in i54 over recent years and the quality of occupiers speaks for itself. The environment at, and accessibility to, the site is second to none.

There are still sites available for advanced manufacturing companies interested in a facility at i54 for premises from 20,000 to 150,000 sq ft. Opportunities also exist for office and leisure enquiries.
