New NED for Enterprise Inns

SOLIHULL pubo Enterprise Inns has announced the appointment of a new non-executive director.

Marisa Cassoni will take up her new role from April 1 and will also serve on the company’s audit, nomination and remuneration committees.

Ms. Cassoni is a qualified ICAEW chartered accountant and finance professional with 40 years of experience. She was previously Finance Director of the UK Division of Prudential Group. Between 2001 and 2006 she was Finance Director of the Post Office (subsequently Royal Mail), and between 2006 and 2012 she was Finance Director of the John Lewis Partnership.

She is currently a NED of AO World, Skipton Group Holdings and The People’s Operator plc, where she chairs the audit committee. She also sat on the Economics Affairs Committee of the CBI and is currently a panel member of the Competition and Markets Authority.

She brings substantial financial knowledge and expertise which further strengthens the board.”

Hummingbird alerts sharholders to new capital raising scheme

BIRMINGHAM-registered gold exploration business, Hummingbird Resources, has alerted shareholders to its proposed general meeting and fund raising initiative.

The AIM-listed company will be staging the general meeting on April 15 at 11am at the offices of Gowlings (UK), 15th floor, Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1AR.

IMI announces date for AGM

BIRMINGHAM-based engineering group, IMI, has sent details of its annual report and AGM to shareholders.

The Annual General Meeting will take place at 10am on Thursday May 7, 2015 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre.
