Pharmacy receives backing to support construction of new HQ

WALSALL-based pharmacy chain Jhoots has received funding to support the construction of a new £3.2m headquarters.

The firm is building a new 20,000 sq ft office on Hatherton Street

It secured funding from The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to support construction of the new HQ which it hopes to move into in October.

The amount RBS contributed to the construction project has not been revealed.

Jhoots Pharmacy is an independent, community pharmacy chain with 47 outlets nationwide. The company’s new HQ will accommodate up to 100 staff and provide room for business growth.

Manjit Jhooty, managing director of Jhoots Group said: “The new building is requiring a considerable amount of investment but will result in the creation of the perfect premises from which to run our business from effectively.

“The premises will provide us with the space and facilities we need to accommodate up to 100 staff, providing them with superb working facilities and will allow us to create more jobs in the area.

“The funding we have received from RBS has been instrumental in allowing us to make this scheme happen.”

Darren Vander, relationship director, healthcare, at The Royal Bank of Scotland said: “We are pleased that we have been able to support Manjit and his team with funding for the construction of the new headquarters.

“The new building will be perfect for the company to operate from, allowing it to stay in the local area and providing additional capacity for the company to use as it grows.”
