Former PwC man to head Cooper Parry’s push into the West Midlands

EAST Midlands accountancy and advisory firm Cooper Parry has reinforced its desire to enter the West Midlands market with a strategic appointment.

Former PwC man Andy Parker has joined as a corporate finance partner with a brief to build a team in Birmingham.

He has more than 20 years’ M&A experience including an 18 year tenure at PwC, where he was the partner leading their corporate finance team in Manchester.

Working with private companies, management teams and private equity, he recently led the £66m sale of Accrol Papers to NorthEdge Capital and the £74m buy-out of On the Beach by Inflexion.

He said: “I’m delighted to be returning to my roots in the Midlands and to be joining such a forward thinking firm.

“Cooper Parry excites me because of the passion, energy and drive of the partner team, the clarity of vision it has and the commitment to excellent client service.

“I want to build my long term future here. The Cooper Parry corporate finance team is in a strong position in the Midlands with an outstanding international network in global M&A Partners and, working alongside David Browne, I hope to help accelerate its growth in existing and new markets.”

Cooper Parry has made no secret of the fact that it is planning to set up a large operation in Birmingham before the end of this year.
