Trifast predicts results at upper end of expectations

BIRMINGHAM-based fasteners manufacturer, Trifast has said it expects full year results to be at the upper end of expectations following a strong final quarter.

The company said the result reflected improvements generated as a result of operational changes implemented during the past few years.

In a pre-close trading update, it said: “The board is very pleased to report that, following the trading update on February 11, 2015, the group has continued to perform well in the final quarter of the financial year ended March 31, 2015.

“Accordingly, the board expects the results for the year to be, as a minimum, at the upper end of current market expectations.

“The strong performance in the year reflects the results of the operational improvements implemented by management over recent years now delivering growth in both margins and profitability.  The forward order book remains solid and the group’s trading performance and commercial progress this year looks set to continue across the business units.”

It said it remained encouraged by the numerous opportunities it had generated both across its key sectors and with new and existing customer partnerships, as well as by the future growth profile of the business.

The board said it would update shareholders further when its preliminary results are published on June 16, 2015.
