KWB appointed to market Diamond House

BIRMINGHAM Airport Authority is to let space within the six-storey office block known as Diamond House, based within the airport complex.

The authority has appointed KWB as sole agent to market the property, which was constructed in 1999.

Birmingham Airport Authority both owns and occupies the property.

Mark Robinson, partner at KWB in Birmingham, said: “This is an excellent instruction for KWB. The M42 and Solihull office market has experienced great activity of late, which KWB has seen at first hand, and with its unparalleled transport links, we’re anticipating a lot of interest in the office space available at Diamond House.”

He said the availability was well timed, with the area around Birmingham Airport set to benefit from new Resorts World hotel and casino development at the nearby NEC due to open later this year.

The 538,000 sq ft Resorts World complex will provide a 178-bed four- star hotel with spa, cinema, a shopping centre with 50 outlets and 25 new restaurants.

“This will be a fantastic addition to the local amenities already supplied by the airport terminal itself, which comprise numerous eateries, coffee bars and retail outlets,” added Robinson.

Two floors at Diamond House are currently available, each comprising 10,000 sq ft.

KWB is targeting companies with both national and international dealings. It is selling the good links to the Airport Terminal and Birmingham International train station, plus the M42 as positive benefits.
