Birmingham set to stage global law conference

BIRMINGHAM is set to host the biggest-ever gathering of global law firms next month, as a Brussels-based legal network plans to bring its members to the UK for their annual spring conference.  
 
First Law International said more than 40 leading legal organisations; clients and VIP’s from across Europe, Asia, Americas, Africa and the Middle East would congregate in the city on May 21-22.

The two-day event is being co-hosted by two First Law International’s partners; Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co (UK) and Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co (India).

First Law said the conference would provide networking opportunities for delegates and seminars focusing on current trends in the legal industry. Subjects include data protection, international arbitration, oil and gas, life sciences and litigation.
 
Businesses with an interest in the legalities of overseas trading and export are being invited to attend the seminars and a free networking lunch at the Council House Banqueting Suite on Friday May 22.
 
Key speakers will include Pallavi and Shardul Shroff, senior partners at Indian law firm, Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co.

Established in 2001, First Law International set out to create a network capable of providing cogent advice to cross-border clients. The conference is now in its 10th year and this will be the first time it is being staged in the UK.
