Ian Cornock made international director at JLL

ONE of Birmingham’s best-known property figures, JLL’s regional lead director Ian Cornock, has been made an international director at the firm.

The property consultancy said the promotion – to the most senior director position within the business – is in recognition of the significant contribution the Midlands is making as part of the UK business and a sign of the growing importance key regional cities such as Birmingham are playing in JLL’s 2020 strategy for focused growth.

JLL has announced eight promotions in its Birmingham office – including the Cornock appointment.

Cornock said: “The Midlands region had been going from strength to strength and with such a focus on Birmingham and its investment in infrastructure and delivery of major new schemes in the city, investors are looking more than ever to how we can deliver growth for them.

“My new role is a huge reflection of the consistent team work everyone has shown in delivering revenue growth and working across the JLL network to channel investment opportunities into the region. The promotions underline our commitment to developing and maintaining our key people who are essential for the future growth of the business.”

Mark Stupples, UK chief operating officer at JLL, added: “It has been another fantastic year for JLL and these promotions recognise the significant contribution and sustained high performance of each individual in our Midlands team.

“Our success has been driven by their superior performance and dedication to increase productivity and deliver exceptional work for clients.”
