Shropshire IT firm looks for expansion with new US operation
A SHROPSHIRE IT security firm is undertaking a major global expansion by establishing a new operation in the United States.
Oswestry-based VCW Security, a leading distributor of IT security solutions, is setting up Voice Comms Warehouse America, which will be situated in Wilmington, Delaware, where it has been successfully registered.
The new operation will enable VCW to extend its business partnership with SiFi Networks, an international Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network developer. This rapidly expanding organisation funds, builds and operates community wide, state-of-the-art fibre optic networks that carry next generation applications including superfast internet, video and phone, creating FiberCities throughout the US and Europe.

VCW is now SiFi Networks’ leading global partner for FOCUS (Fiber Optic Cable Ubiquitous Solution), SiFi Networks’ complete solution for the physical delivery of FTTH. FOCUS provides a sustainable and insurable platform by integrating traditional methods of construction and non-proprietary equipment, with proprietary components. It leverages the company’s patented Wastewater Fiber Technology (WFT), in which fiber-optic cable is deployed in sanitary and storm wastewater conduits.
VCW will be providing active components including GPON (gigabit passive optical networking) routers, splitters and cabinets.
