Longbridge Innovation Centre to be refurbished following flurry of activity

DEVELOPER St Modwen is to refurbish its Innovation Centre building in Birmingham’s Longbridge in response to a high level of demand from occupiers.

St Modwen says demand for space in the building is at an all-time high, with 16 deals undertaken with high profile tenants in the first quarter of 2015.

Totalling 7,480 sq ft space, the 16 deals comprise five expansions, two lease renewals and nine new companies, taking the number of companies at the Innovation Centre, part of Longbridge Technology Park, to 54.

Now St Modwen has undertaken a refurbishment of the building, which includes a new look reception and new breakout areas.

Kimberley Pace, assistant manager at Innovation Centre manager, said: “The Innovation Centre is going from strength to strength. Our flexible office space has been popular since we opened in 2008.

“Now we find that many of our tenants choose to come here for the established network of businesses, hyperfast broadband, outstanding transport connections, and the shops and services that are on the doorstep.

“This year we have undertaken a comprehensive refurbishment of the Innovation Centre to freshen up the building and create new breakout areas, ensuring that the environment continues to meet the high standard our tenants expect.”

New firms that have moved into the Innovation Centre include Tyler Grange, Creative 2 Architect and Offsite Servers.
