Walsall manufacturer Boltight snapped up by Swedish firm

MANUFACTURER Boltight has been sold to Swedish firm Nord-Lock Group for an undisclosed sum.

The Walsall firm was founded in 1999. Its hydraulic bolt tensioning systems have a global reputation and the firm’s products are used in demanding environments in a multitude of markets, ranging from energy to engineering, and construction to mining.

The Nord-Lock Group also specialises in bolt securing and bolt tensioning systems.

The directors of Boltight will continue to manage the company at its Walsall base.

Mark Gibson, corporate partner at Birmingham-based law firm DWF, advised Nord-Lock Group on the deal alongside Charles Jemmett, Sophie Doyle, Jon Stevens and Sarah Koenig.

Gibson said: “This acquisition is a significant milestone for the Nord-Lock Group, allowing expansion into new markets.”
