RP Technologies looks to recruit following finance deal

BLACK Country-based RP Technologies is re-locating to larger premises and plans to take on additional staff after securing in excess of £100,000 in grant funding.

The deal was brokered by Birmingham-based Central Finance.

The tool making and injection moulding company is to move from 2,500 sq ft premises in Cradley Heath to 24,000 sq ft in Kingswinford and investment in state of the art machinery will see the creation of ten new jobs.

Central sourced the grant package through Birmingham City Council’s ERDF programmes.

RP Technologies, formed ten years ago by Darren Withers and Brett Mitchell, has a roster of clients including Rolls Royce, Aston Martin and Jaguar Land and operates in sectors including aerospace, medical and electronics.

Withers, the firm’s managing director, said: “Working globally with a number of luxury and household brands, it is imperative we continuously innovate our manufacturing processes to maintain and increase the level of quality we are known for. To do that, consistent investment in both infrastructure and personnel is key.”

Alison Bradley, managing director at Central Finance, said: “Having worked with thousands of businesses like RP Technologies over the years, my colleagues and I have built up a great level of understanding of the complexities of attaining grant funding, especially at this level.”
