Fracino trophy cabinet bulging as it picks up two more awards

BIRMINGHAM coffee machine manufacturer Fracino has now racked up a total of eight awards this year after picking up two from manufacturers’ organisation EEF.

The third generation family business has scooped the EEF’s regional Smart Product Award which reflects the manufacturer’s innovation in creating a bespoke, state-of-the-art espresso machine for Subway franchisee outlets across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

The project’s success has also resulted in machines being installed in franchises across Poland.

Fracino, which employs 60 staff, also carried off the EEF’s regional Outstanding Export Award for its success in setting up an export arm from scratch in 2008. It is now exporting to more than 70 countries.

Earlier this year Fracino took the Manufacturer (SME) crown in TheBusinessDesk.com’s West Midlands Business Masters Awards.

The 2016 Masters Awards have just been launched. Read how to get involved here.

Other award wins include clinching the Midlands Family Business of the Year title in the Family Business of the Year Awards and the New Frontiers category of the Red Ribbon Awards organised by Family Business Place.

Manufacturing almost 5,000 machines annually, exports have grown year on year for Fracino – increasing by 24% over the last 12 months – and constituting more than £1m of the £4.6m turnover for the business founded in a garden shed 52 years ago.

Fracino MD Adrian Maxwell, said: “What a phenomenal year it has been for our hard working and committed team, who have been instrumental in us winning these fantastic awards.

“It is tremendous that such coveted accolades reinforce our reputation, innovation and dedication to consistently deliver world class manufacturing standards across the UK and the globe.”
