Aston Business School pledges fresh insight into business challenges

ASTON Business School is promising to provide some fresh thinking in approaches to business during a special open event later this month.

The business school is opening its doors on Wednesday January 20 for what it claims will be a day of fresh insights into current business challenges.

Some of the university’s leading academics will be taking part in the event, dubbed #InsideAston, which has been organised in conjunction with the university’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Speakers at #InsideAston will include Professor Richard Crisp, an international authority on social psychology, who will be sharing his science-based solutions to the problems facing businesses, meanwhile retail expert Prof Heiner Evanschitzky will speak on ‘customer inspiration’, while senior law lecturer, Claire Howell, will speak on how to manage intellectual property rights in order to make money for your business.

The day also includes lunch and opportunities to network with Aston University staff, alumni and other business professionals.

Richard Crisp, Professor of Psychology and Associate Dean of Research and Enterprise at Aston Business School, said: “Aston Business School already has strong links with the local business community. We want to build on these links and make our work even more accessible to a wider audience.

“#InsideAston is an opportunity to learn more about our latest research and get some fresh ideas that can transform working practices.  It has been designed to provide impact-focused sessions that are relevant to businesses, both large and small.”
