Participate in our Big Manufacturing Debate

COMPANIES and manufacturing sector experts across the West Midlands are being invited to participate in our Big Manufacturing Debate.

International law firm Squire Patton Boggs has joined forces with TheBusinessDesk.com to publish a Manufacturing Report across our three regions – the North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire.

The Big Manufacturing Debate – which will look at the issues the sector is facing from the slowdown in overseas markets to skill and the EU referendum – takes place on Wednesday February 10 at Warwick Manufacturing Group, International Manufacturing Centre, University of Warwick, Coventry CV4 7A, starting at 10am and concluding at 1pm (includes lunch).

As the EU referendum fast approaches, our UK manufacturers continue to face uncertainty.

Productivity is improving, but the sector is still heavily reliant on Europe for skills. For this reason, remaining in the EU is seen as essential to support growth in this important industry sector; the bedrock of the UK economy.

We will be joined by a panel of local manufacturers and key influencers from the region including Richard Halstead, Regional Director, EEF and Dr Richard Hutchins, Director, Jaguar Land Rover Programmes, WMG, together with a panel of local manufacturers.

We would be delighted if you could join us and would be happy for you to extend the invitation to colleagues, if you think this may be of interest to them.
