Housing development to help support almost 400 jobs

A HOUSING development is set to bring investment and a jobs boost to Cannock.
 
Barratt Homes West Midlands is building 188 homes at The Limes on Limepit Lane, Huntington, and the work will underpin 376 jobs. 

Katie Yates, sales manager for Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “We are delighted work is underway at The Limes in Cannock and we are looking forward to seeing the development take shape over the next few months.

“As well as providing new homes we will also be investing in the community and underpinning local jobs.”

The development will be a mix of two, three and four-bedroomed homes, and the first will be available later in the year.

The development sits on the fringe of the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. All 188 homes are due to be completed by June 2020.

As well as building new homes, Barratt will also invest £176,000 in the local area. The homebuilder will put £100,000 towards open space and this will include funding children’s play equipment, extensive landscaping and creating footpaths.
