The 41-year-old, from Sutton, is also accused of a second count of attempted murder, assault, attempted child destruction and possession of a knife in a public place.

The woman remained in critical care in hospital on Monday, where her condition is described as stable. Her baby girl was born in hospital on Friday night and is doing well.
