CATALYST Corporate Finance has added to its senior team with the promotion of Richard Holden to partner.

Mr Holden’s promotion comes after spending the last four years as head of the business services team.

Catalyst’s managing partner Andy Currie said: “This promotion reflects the significant contribution Richard has made to the business and I am sure it will lead to more deal opportunities within the business services sector.

EDGBASTON venue mac Birmingham has appointed Deborah Kermode as its chief executive and artistic director to replace Dorothy Wilson, who is leaving after 26 years in charge.

Ms Kermode is currently deputy director of Ikon Gallery in Birmingham and will move to the charity later this year.

mac’s Chair, Jonnie Turpie, said: “The search to succeed Dorothy, who is such a significant leader in the cultural and arts industry was always going to be a challenge.

PREMIER LEAGUE club West Bromwich Albion has appointed Nick Hammond as technical director, a role which will lead on player recruitment.

Mr Hammond joins from Reading, where he has been the club’s director of football for the last 14 seasons.

Chairman Jeremy Peace said: “We conducted a thorough search and Nick arrives as someone of great experience in this role. I believe that will stand us in good stead for what should be another busy summer transfer window.

“I’m delighted with his appointment. He rightly enjoys a very good reputation in the industry.”

The club is currently 14th in the Premier League with two matches to play, with a similar record to last season’s 13th place.

INDEPENDENT lender Henry Howard Finance is expanding its operations in the Midlands with the appointment of Paul Bedi at its Solihull office.

Mr Bedi has joined the firm as head of end user sales, where he will support SMEs with future finance and equipment purchase requirements.
