LSH strengthens its grip on the Midlands with new acquisition

COMMERCIAL property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton has strengthened its presence in the Midlands with a new acquisition.

The consultancy, which has an office in Birmingham, has purchased Lincolnshire rival Hodgson Elkington in an undisclosed deal.

Adam Ramshaw, who heads Lambert Smith Hampton’s existing East Midlands offices in Nottingham and Leicester will also assume overall responsibility for the Lincoln team.

He said: “This move to bring Hodgson Elkington into the LSH family provides us with complete on the ground coverage across the East Midlands and an unrivalled platform to service our clients no matter where they are in the region.

“LSH is committed to growth and we are continuing to invest in areas we believe we can add the most value for clients and provide further insight and market intelligence.”

As part of the transaction Sam Elkington – Hodgson Elkington senior partner and one of its founders – will become head of the new LSH Lincoln office.

He said: “We have seen our business grow every year from its inception including during the recession. We also have an extremely exciting future ahead of us.

“I am pleased that the whole Hodgson Elkington team is transferring across to Lambert Smith Hampton as part of the deal. Lambert Smith Hampton is one of the industry’s most ambitious operators and there is a real buzz about the place.

“There is a lot that we can achieve together and we are looking forward to joining forces with one of the country’s fastest growing consultancies.”

Hodgson Elkington has over 4,000 occupiers paying rents and service charges.

Last year, it advised on over £1bn of real estate and is currently active on over 300 acres of development land. The business acts for both the private and public sector.
