Twin boost for 54 Hagley Road as firms expand

AN independent healthcare group in Birmingham is expanding its base in the city by taking additional space within 54 Hagley Road, Edgbaston.

Alliance Surgical has taken space on the tenth floor of the office complex, agreeing a ten-year lease for 2,223 sq ft of space in the east wing.

The company already occupies the whole of the 11th floor of the building.

George Jennings, of Bilfinger GVA, which is joint agent for property, said: “We are very pleased that Alliance Surgical is already expanding here. It is testament to the continued investment in the premises by owners Opus Land / Palmer Capital.

“The building is seen as a prime location for ambitious businesses that need a first-class environment in which to operate.”

Alliance Surgical’s expansion is a second boost to the complex after global project management and technical consultancy White Young Green renewed its existing tenancy and acquired an additional 500 sq ft of space to take its total floorspace to 2,715 sq ft.

Keith Fenwick, director at WYG Group, said the extra space was needed following its acquisition of Alliance Planning.

“The growth of the team to include multi-disciplinary functions has necessitated expansion,” he said. “We’ve found the location ideal for servicing existing clients both within the city and regionally.”
