Platform firm has lofty ambitions after seven-figure funding deal

A WORCESTERSHIRE platform access firm is planning on growing its workforce and expanding its fleet of machines after securing a seven figure funding deal.

Established in 2002, Bromsgrove-based GTAccess provides platforms to various sectors including construction, aeronautical and manufacturing.

The company, which also has depots strategically located in Gloucester, Stoke on Trent, Shrewsbury and Hereford, is targeting an additional 250 machines during 2016 and is rapidly approaching the milestone of its 1,500th machine. The range currently features 60 different types of platform.

In addition to supplying the equipment for hire, the business also trains machine operators, not only to use the machinery but in first aid and other techniques.

The new funding, supplied by Yorkshire Bank, will enable the firm to grow its current workforce of 75 by a further 10 people. It will also be used to invest in more energy efficient measures such as electric vehicle charging points.

The seven-figure deal was facilitated by Peter Brooke at Yorkshire Bank’s Customer Banking Centre in Birmingham and Steve Fox from the bank’s Asset Finance team.
