Nine new promotions for Gateley

THE Birmingham office of Gateley has announced nine new promotions including two new partners.

The appointments are part of a wave of promotions at the firm which has seen 22 people, spread across the firm’s seven offices, land new titles.

The promotions span the firm’s Construction, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Corporate Recovery, Real Estate and Regulatory teams.

Commercial real estate lawyer, Helen Roberts, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Real Estate team. Ms Roberts specialises in development work on industrial, retail, office and leisure schemes, with a particular emphasis on complex/long term development projects.

Residential Development lawyer, Robert Thompson, has also been promoted to partner. He specialises in land acquisition, promotion agreements, and funding in both the private and public sectors.

Corporate Recovery lawyers, Helen Jones and Louise Phillips have been promoted to senior associate, as well as Construction lawyer, Phil Scully.

Meanwhile, solicitors Safeea Shafiq, John Williams, Gemma Flanders and Kate Oliver have all been promoted to associate.

Trowers & Hamlins boosts Birmingham property team

TROWERS & Hamlins has appointed David Marsden to partner within its Property Litigation Team in Birmingham.

Mr Marsden was previously Head of Property Litigation at the Cheltenham office of Charles Russell.

He advises investors, landlords, public sector bodies and occupiers on a broad range of complex property law.

Brace of new faces at Thomas Horton

Jay Singh and Emma Plant, both of the Bromsgrove office WORCESTERSHIRE law firm, Thomas Horton Solicitors, has expanded its team with two new appointments.
 
Joining the firm are Emma Plant, Trainee Solicitor and Jay Singh, Associate Commercial Property Solicitor.

Ms Plant, based at the firm’s Bromsgrove office is experienced in residential conveyancing and will focus on property transactions in the Conveyancing department.

Jay Singh, also based at the Bromsgrove office, will undertake a wide range of commercial property transactions in support of local businesses buying and leasing premises.
