Solicitors merge offices to create 75-strong firm

A LAW firm has bought the West Bromwich office of Millichips, increasing its workforce to 75.

Clark Brookes Turner Cary (CBTC) which is based in West Bromwich and Stratford-upon-Avon, will bring the branch in house at its current Black Country offices and the firm will be rebranded as CBTC Millichips.

CBTC managing director Richard Pinning said: “The acquisition of Millichips in West Bromwich is the next step in our plans to grow the practice in the West Midlands. We feel that this is a perfect fit in terms of client service, expertise and location.”

Millichips dates back to the 1870s and has been known as Millichips since the 1930s. It used to be the solicitors’ practice of football administrator Sir Bert Millichip, who served as chairman of West Bromwich Albion and of the Football Association.

Colin Viner, the senior partner of Millichips West Bromwich office, said: “It’s a joy to find other professionals with the same outlook as ourselves. It became clear very quickly that CBTC and ourselves have the same local, quality and service ethos.”
