Coach fire blocks all three lanes of M6 motorway

5PM UPDATE: Traffic has now been released but two lanes remain closed and congestion remains heavy. Highways England has said it now expects traffic conditions to return to normal by 6.15pm, with delays of up to 90 minutes.

3.30PM A COACH fire has blocked all three lanes of the M6 northbound in Warwickshire.

The motorway has been closed between junction 3, Nuneaton, and 3A, at Coleshill, near to where the motorway meets the M42.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue has been on site dealing with the fire.
