Specialist mutual increases funds to £890m

STAFFORDSHIRE-BASED Police Mutual Group, which has around 200,000 members from police and military families, has increased its funds under management to £890m.

The group, which operates the Police Mutual and Forces Mutual brands, recorded new business growth of 14% in 2015.

Police Mutual is a not-for-profit group that was established more than 150 years ago.

“We exist to ensure that we improve the financial health and awareness of financial matters within the police and military families,” said Stephen Mann, chief executive of Police Mutual Group.

“It is always pleasing to report positive performance and continued financial strength but for our group even more so as it means that we are able to deliver on our vision to make our members’ lives healthier, happier and longer.”

The group employs 470 people across its five offices, including its Lichfield headquarters and Birmingham.
