Birmingham Pride is back for another year and it’s set to be one big party! Join the colourful, upbeat parade at midday from Victoria Square which will finish by the Birmingham Hippodrome on Saturday. Across the two days, there will be a whole range of entertainment at various venues across the city centre. Get dusting off your antiques
Fancy being on the TV this weekend?! Dickinson’s Real Deal is coming to Coventry, so if you’ve got any decent antiques in the attic, this is the perfect occasion to see if you can get any cash for them. Independent valuers will be there all day to offer advice on your items and who knows, you could be quids in and have the rest of the weekend to spend your well-earned cash. West Bromwich Operatic Society present Made In Dagenham at The Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton on Saturday night. Inspired by a true story and a hit movie, the show is an uplifting tale of friendship, love and fighting for what is right. From Saturday, there will be a whole week of family entertainment at Cadbury World. Head to the destination in Bourneville for fun filled days with entertainment and live shows. Head to National Trust’s Upton House and Gardens in Warwickshire across the bank holiday weekend for a fun day of learning about the dig for victory campaign. Families can explore the beautiful gardens there as they find out what has been planted to keep the nation fed this year, with prizes for children available at the end. Worcestershire’s finest outdoor poor opens for the summer months on Saturday. The Droitwich Spa Lido is the perfect day for the family, especially when the weather is gorgeous. Embrace rock ‘n’ roll
This is your chance to see how Mothers was voted the best rock venue in the world by Billboard Magazine and John Peel. On Saturday daytime, a memorabilia display will be on show at St Barnabas Church in Erdington, which is just over the road from the original site of Mothers. Over 300 items will be on display with stalls selling posters, t-shirts and records. There will also be guided tours through the history of Mothers. Head to Arley Arboretum on Monday for the beginning of their circus themed week. There will be trails, games and competitions for the whole family to enjoy.
