Appointments: KPMG; Smith Cooper

KPMG has promoted Simon Clark to partner in its Birmingham-based financial services team.

Mr Clark has nearly 20 years’ financial services experience, and moved from the firm’s Manchester office to Birmingham in 2008 to service the Midlands marketplace.

THE corporate finance division of accountancy firm Smith Cooper has added Adam Widerkiewicz as a senior executive.

Mr Widerkiewicz joins Smith Cooper’s Birmingham team having previously worked at EY specialising in the Financial Services sector.

Darren Hodson, corporate finance partner, said: “He joins at a time of rapid growth for the corporate finance division and the wider firm; 2015 was another record year that saw us working on a range of high profile transactions and this trend is continuing in 2016.”
