Traffic alert: Two lanes closed causing major rush-hour delays on M6

10.05AM UPDATE Highways England has said delays have eased and traffic is now flowing.

9.45AM UPDATE: All lanes are now open, and the collision has been cleared, but congestion stretches back to junction 1.

9.25AM UPDATE: One lane has now been re-opened, leaving one lane closed. However delays are stretching up to 90 minutes with traffic conditions only now expected to return to normal by 11.30am.

THERE are two lanes closed on the M6 northbound between junction 3 and 3A in Warwickshire, after a crash involving 3-4 vehicles.

Congestion, which has spread back to junction 2, where the M6 meets the M69, is expected to cause delays of an hour. Highways England traffic officers are at the scene.

Traffic is expected to return to normal by 11.00am.
