Blues sponsor goes through hoops for new football deal

MIDLANDS-based lifestyle brand Eze Group is switching its football allegiances from St Andrew’s to north of the border.

The company, which provides business travel, holidays, entertainment and leisure activities, has signed up to sponsor Scottish Premiership Champions, Celtic.

Under a major new sponsorship agreement Eze Group, which has offices in Henley-in-Arden and Stirling, will become an Official Club Partner at Celtic Park.

As well as building awareness through business hospitality and brand advertising, Eze said it was planning to work with Celtic on a supporter engagement programme. A new initiative ‘Eze Wishes’ will recognise fans who have overcome adversity, shown great community spirit and demonstrated outstanding support for the club.

Through Eze Group’s ATOL-bonded travel partner, Everywhere Travel, the company will also be looking to help Celtic fans with their travel arrangements, whether for European away games or holidays abroad.

This latest deal builds on Eze Group’s involvement in the world of sports sposorship.

The company has had a long standing business partnership with Birmingham City FC and last season was the club’s main shirt sponsor.  The company is also heavily involved in darts, sponsoring three of the world’s top players including Scottish ace Robert Thornton.

Dominic O’Reilly, CEO of Eze Group, said: “We are delighted to be broadening our sponsorship in sport by partnering with Celtic – one of the world’s most recognised football clubs, with a rich heritage in Scotland and throughout Europe.

“As part of our new agreement we will be looking to engage with the fans through a new community-based initiative which rewards supporters who have gone the extra mile.

“With Brendan Rodgers’ appointment creating a real buzz around the start of the new season, it’s an exciting time to be involved with Celtic.”

A Celtic FC spokesperson said: “We are delighted to welcome EZE Group to Celtic and launch this innovative partnership which we believe will bring great benefits to the Club and our supporters.”
