Overbury begins fit-out on software firm’s new offices

FIT-OUT work has begun in Solihull on new offices for a financial software supplier.

Overbury is completing the work on behalf of Phoebus Software.

The 15,000 sq ft third floor offices at Lansdowne Gate have been designed by Overbury and once complete, the new offices are intended to be a central hub for the business, promoting the wellbeing of staff and stimulating innovation.

Paul Hunt, managing director of Phoebus Software, said: “We’re delighted with the design of our new offices and excited to see our new workspace come together. We paid close attention to the design and style of the furnishings throughout the office as we believe that a more inspirational and comfortable office space will increase employees’ creativity and motivation.

“The health and happiness of our staff is really important to us at Phoebus and Overbury’s expertise in staff wellbeing was one of the key reasons we chose them for our fit out. Their work will undoubtedly help us to create an environment where we’re confident all of our employees can flourish.”

Michele Clifton, account manager at Overbury in Birmingham, said: “It is refreshing to find a company that is as attuned to the needs of its staff as Phoebus, and it is gratifying for our team to work on a project where this is the first consideration.

“Making small changes to office design can have a significant positive impact on staff wellbeing, which in turn can reduce staff absence and increase productivity and staff retention.”

Phoebus’ staff numbers have grown from 70 to 91 in the last twelve months, prompting the need for new offices.

The company is expected to move into the new office in August, when it will vacate its current home at Radcliffe House, Blenheim Court.

The fit-out of Phoebus Software is Overbury’s second project this year at Lansdowne Gate, following its work on the 46,000 sq ft offices of National Grid.
