Asset manager sets sights on global growth

AN ASSET manager which counts GlaxoSmithKline and Coca-Cola as clients is targeting further growth at home and overseas, boosted by its recent Queen’s Award for International Trade win.

MCP Consulting provides asset management consulting and training services to a bluechip client base and has had its headquarters at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Blythe Valley Innovation Centre near Solihull since 2004.

Managing director Peter Gagg said: “We’ve come a long way since the launch of the company when we started out with just five staff back in 1987.

“We now employ consultants across the globe and last year we grew turnover to £2.5m, and are on track to £3m this year.

“There’s no doubt that winning the Queen’s Awards has helped to elevate our reputation, both in the UK and overseas.

“It was a great honour for everyone associated with the company to have been recognised for our contribution to international trade and it’s important for us to continue to capitalise on this success.”

MCP Consulting also has offices in the USA, Abu Dhabi, Germany and Portugal. Clients include Johnson & Johnson and Kraft.

The firm exports to more than 50 countries worldwide, including the UAE where it is leading on a major change management programme at Dubai International Airport.

Mark Homer, centre manager at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Blythe Valley Innovation Centre, said: “MCP Consulting has been working with many of the world’s most well-known companies and brands for some time, supporting them to improve and be more efficient.

“We’re delighted to see the company continuing to achieve strong success, on the back of winning the Queen’s Award, and look forward to supporting them with their on-going growth plans.

“Their award was part of a wider success story across the University of Warwick Science Park as two other tenants picked up Queen’s Awards and another company which has benefitted from support through the Science Park was also honoured.”
