Jobs lost as window manufacturer ceases trading

CREDITORS will decide later this week if a Coventry window company will go into liquidation, which could result in the loss of around 30 jobs.

Emperor Windows has ceased trading and its premises in Hillfields, along with another operation in Cheltenham, has closed.

Seneca Insolvency Practitioners in Matlock have been appointed to the business, the Coventry Telegraph reported.

The company was launched in 2004 by mother and son Julie and Kelly Ord and was involved in both the manufacture and installation of windows, doors and conservatories.

A spokesman for Seneca Insolvency Practitioners said: “We have been instructed to hold a meeting of creditors on Thursday July 21.

“There will be a report presented to creditors, at which point they will be voting whether to put the company into liquidation.”

Seneca was unable to confirm how many jobs had been lost as a result of the closure.
