Birmingham designers celebrate big success

A BIRMINGHAM design company is expanding rapidly after an increase in demand to design for venues across the city.

Stax Creations, which designs venues, restaurant interiors and experimental brand activation, have recently secured a project with Redbull after gaining success with a range of independents across Birmingham.

The team, which is made up of three friends Jake, Nat and Chris who studied together at university, designed the interior of city restaurant The Wilderness and converted an old candle maker’s factory into The Night Owl.

Stax CreationsSoon after meeting, Stax Creations joined forces with Boxxed, a business incubator for start-up companies. Danny Fisher, founder of Boxxed, invested in the business and their premises, which has since enabled the company to go from making pallet furniture to festival and outdoor shows on creative staging including the likes of music festival Bestival, Carnival Magnifico and other a range of other events in Birmingham’s creative quarter, Digbeth.

Danny Fisher, who has over 20 years’ experience in developing businesses, is excited about the future of working alongside Stax Creations. He said: “Stax have proved that mentoring and seed financing the right stakeholders is very often the difference between success and failure for an investor and the investee.
