Restaurant changes hands in £400,000 deal

A TELFORD restaurant has changed hands in a £400,000 deal that will see it relaunched as a world buffet restaurant.
Mimosa on Southwater has been bought by Sham and Laura Uddin and will close for most of August to undergo a full re-design. It is scheduled to open as Four Corners World Buffet on August 26.
All jobs have been secured as part of the buy-out.
Mr Uddin said: “We are a very close family and it has always been my ambition to own my own restaurant. The focus will be to offer something different – so there will be the four cuisines under one roof with the focus being on fresh, top quality food and the customer service everyone deserves.”
Shaun Davies, leader of Telford & Wrekin Council, which owns Southwater, said: “I am delighted that another independent eatery will be opening at the Southwater development.
“It is a very exciting time for the area due to the development of the neighbouring Southern Quarter.”
