Enterprise Zone relocation provides capacity for growth

A FAST-GROWING medical firm has become the first to move into a £1.6m development within Hereford’s Enterprise Zone in readiness to nearly double its workforce.
MedDX Solutions, which manufactures and supplies diagnostic sample collection and transport kits, has relocated to Skylon Place in Rotherwas from its former site just outside Hereford.
The company plans to add eight staff by the end of this year, which would increase the workforce to 20.
Richard Senior, founder of MedDX, said: “We worked closely with the Enterprise Zone to tailor the premises to meet our own blueprint so that we could enjoy a seamless transition. That was one of the major benefits of choosing a move to Skylon Place.”
The chairman of the Enterprise Zone, Bill Jackson, added: “By working with the directors from an early stage, we were able to create a facility that was built around their needs and has given their business the chance to grow and thrive.”
Skylon Park is already home to a regional centre for Western Power Distribution and construction industry supplier Marches Global. Beck Products, a leading UK supplier to the construction and horticultural industries, also has a base on the Park.
