Appointments: Eversheds; RBH; IDP Landscape

EVERSHEDS has appointed Gayle McFarlane as technology and data partner, 10 years after she left the firm.
Ms McFarlane originally worked for seven years at Eversheds, having qualified into its IT and ecommerce team. She then spent nine years at Wragge & Co before a recent stint as a partner at Cordery, advising clients on compliance strategy within the technology, information, retail and consumer sectors.
Charlotte Walker-Osborn, head of Eversheds’ global technology, media and telecoms sector, said: “Her expertise will be a great complement to the existing capabilities of the team as we continue to service our international client base as deep experts in technology, outsourcing and data.”  
Ms McFarlane will be based in Birmingham and working in the technology and outsourcing practice as well as helping to expand the firm’s international privacy and information law practice.

RBH Creative Communications Agency has appointed Jonny Severn to the role of digital design director.
He returns to RBH having previously spent two years with the agency before changing direction and working for a number of high-profile digital gaming companies, including Activision, where he helped develop DJ Hero 2 and Guitar Hero Live.
Most recently he ran his own business, Pixel Smash, working on Halo 5, Super Powerboy and various commercial freelance projects.
RBH managing director Debra Hepburn said: “He brings with him a broad and impressive skill-set across gaming, branding, UX, UI, graphic design, motion graphics, e-commerce, product design, illustration and character design & development. He’ll be helping us continue to expand our strong digital offering and will present our clients with many new ideas and opportunities.”

ARCHITECTURE and landscape company IDP Landscape has appointed William Wheeler as landscape design director.
Mr Wheeler joins the IDP Landscape team bringing with him a diverse range of expertise and nearly 30 years’ professional experience with particular strengths in the renewable energy, urban regeneration, public realm, parks and education sectors. 
IDP Landscape is part of IDP which employs more than 100 professionals in design, planning, landscape and project management and has its headquarters in Coventry. 
Kevin Charsley, managing director of IDP Landscape, said: “We are currently involved in a number of major schemes, and we’re excited that William’s skills will help us deliver these projects and take the business forward into exciting new sectors and regions.”
