Property Appointments: Johnson Fellows; IDP Landscape; Bruton Knowles

CHARTERED surveyors Johnson Fellows has announced the latest in a string of new appointments at its Birmingham office.

David Bullimore joins as head of rating and will support the business’s major retail, office and industrial occupier and landlord clients including Starbucks, Asda, Barclays and Boots.

Nick Wint, partner at Johnson Fellows, said: “We’re delighted to have David join us and feel that his experience will be a real asset to our rating team. With the business rates revaluation next year his expertise will be invaluable.”

Mr Bullimore joins the firm from the Birmingham office of CBRE, where he worked as a surveyor in business rates. Prior to this, he worked at BNP Paribas and Altus Edwin Hill, where he completed his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

The next business rates revaluation will come into effect on April 1, 2017. It will re-assess all business properties in England and Wales based on rental value as at April 1, 2015.

William Wheeler (right) joins IDP Landscape having worked on some of the UK’s biggest infrastructure projects.

He has nearly 30 years’ professional experience with particular strengths in the renewable energy, urban regeneration, public realm, parks and education sectors.

Kevin Charsley, managing director, IDP Landscape (pictured left) said: “I’m delighted that William will bring his vast experience to our dynamic and creative team. He is a very assured and creative designer who has won awards for his work which include some significant landscape projects around the country.”

IDP Landscape is part of IDP, which employs more than 100 design, planning, landscape and project management specialists at its headquarters in the city.

The firm, which also has offices in London and Manchester, is currently involved in a number of projects including a 750-unit regeneration scheme in central Birmingham working alongside IDP Architects, and an Environmental Impact Assessment scheme to redevelop a 40-hectare employment site in Kent.

Adrian Walsh, partner, with Ian Pitt, partner and head of Bruton Knowles’ Birmingham officePROPERTY consultancy Bruton Knowles has strengthened its Birmingham office with a new promotion.

The move sees Adrian Walsh (pictured left) elevated to partner.

Mr Walsh joined the property firm in 2014 and has more than 20 years commercial building surveying and project management experience, advising landlords, tenants and funders.

He heads the firm’s building consultancy team in Birmingham, which has grown from two to four people in the last 18 months.
